I think this is a very powerful image.There is the isolation of a single dark element in the grey mist:a great contrast and combination of opposites.
Far distant there is a further element of contrast that bilances and gives importance to the dark element.It is a repetition of the dark one.
There is also a third factor to be taken into consideration:the rocky part that gives sustain to the dark element.It is the middle way,neither black nor white.
And ,then, we have the light cloudy skye ......... visible and moving ........
This picture suggests me a world of misterious abandonment.Where are the inhabitants?
